HOW TO REACH
Andaman, being an island, can be reached in only two ways – By air or by sea.
BY AIR (FLIGHT)
AIRPORT
Port Blair, Veer Savarkar International Airport, is the gateway to A & N islands is connected with Chennai, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata by direct flights.
JOURNEY TIME
Air India, Indian Airlines, Jetlite, Go air & Spice jet Airlines operate regular flights and takes around 2 hours. Flights from Delhi fly via Chennai, Bhubaneswar or Kolkata and take around 5 hours.
FOREIGN CHARTER FLIGHT
Foreign charter flights are also permitted to land at Port Blair subject to the fulfillment of guidelines of the Director General of Civil Aviation.

BY SEA (SHIP)
Regular passenger ship services are available to Port Blair from Chennai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam and back. There are three to four sailings every month from Kolkata and Chennai to Port Blair and vice-versa. There is only one sailing for Visakhapatnam in a month. The voyage takes about 50 to 60 hours and the ship normally berths at Port Blair for about two to four days.

Ticket booking:
Tickets can be booked for any of the vessels in any scheduled sailing at the STARS (Ship Ticketing Advance Reservation System) Counters of the Directorate of Shipping Services, A & N Administration at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata & at Port Blair.
Documents required:
One needs to submit application form for booking of tickets and produce ID proof at the time of boarding of vessel
